On June 2, Li Chunlin, Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC), held a meeting with the Argentine delegation led by Minister of Economy Sergio Massa. Both sides exchanged views on cooperation under the“Belt and Road” Initiative and in key projects.
Vice Chairman Li said that Argentina is one of China’s good friends and partners in Latin America. In recent years, under the joint leadership of President Xi Jinping and President Fernández, China-Argentina relations have continued to deepen, and practical cooperation in various fields has been advanced. NDRC is willing to work with various departments of the Argentine Government, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, to make full use of the “Belt and Road” working group, strengthen exchanges under the framework of China-Argentina Economic Cooperation and Coordination Strategic Dialogue, and solidly promote cooperation under the “Belt and Road” Initiative and in key projects to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides and achieve common development and prosperity.
Minister Massa said that in recent years, both sides have achieved fruitful cooperation under the“Belt and Road” Initiative, and the political mutual trust between the two countries has continued to deepen. Argentina hopes to strengthen exchangeswith China, deepen cooperation in various fields including infrastructure, energy, transportation,and trade, contribute to cooperation under the “Belt and Road”Initiative, and promote high-quality development of bilateral relations.
